The arms industry

I wonder if the western world really knew what the impact of the arms industry had on the lives of many disadvantaged people in African countries. The impact of the western countries subsidies to arms manufacturing companies in the form of tax breaks, business incentives, cheap land, and cheap labour and turning away when they export arms to countries that are embargoed.

Where are we when some innocent African family has to be on the receiving end of the very bullets that are manufactured in our backyard, by working middle class western families, that would never think that the very thing that helps to buy the food for their tables, will be murdering a family like their own just a few weeks after they ship it away? What would we think, if the arms that we make, the guns, the bullets, end up in the hands of criminals, parading as army generals, soldiers and even mercernaries?

But yet it is supposed to all be bona fide work, done by supposedly honest, hard working western businessmen who donate hundreds of thousands of dollars to the Shriners? Isn't that the biggest hypocrisy? The war criminals in today's society are not the black men of Africa, nor the Serbs, the real war ciminals in this modern age, are western businesmen, the blue eyes, three piece suit businessmen, the Fortune 500 crowd, the outstanding businessmen who help to fund the Republican and Democratic Parties in the USA, and the Conservative and Liberal Parties in Canada. These are the real war criminals. The only difference is they don't pull the trigger, but they are sure too willing to sell the triggers to those countries where these horrible war atrocities occur.

The Hague Tribunal should be chasing after these countries, it is not only China that sells these arms, it is western countries like the USA, Canada, West Germany, even the very country where the Hague Tribunal is, they also export arms, the Netherlands, the UK. The money from the taxes imposed on these arms dealers in the end helps to fund the Hague Tribunal through public funds. Indirectly we as western democracies that enjoy a higher standard of living enjoy part of these benefits through taxes imposed on arms dealers.

So in a way, no one, anywhere is complicit in all of this.

Tibet burning

The world watches, while Tibet burns. China is being held to task for its continuation of oppression against the Tibetans. It's not a clampdown, China has held a tight grip on Tibet for almost fifty years. The cold war is still alive and well in Tibet. There are no civil rights in Tibet, in fact the only people with any type of rights in Tibet are Chinese. They have the right to murder Tibetans.

Murder is murder, there is no nice way of saying it. No amount of cheap export goods to the west, no amount of bank loans give China the right to murder Tibetans. You cannot buy lives like that. It is time the west stand up and say enough is enough.

We did okay before we started all this trade with China. All this trade has come at incredible costs to both the west and to the Chinese as well. China is flooding the world with hazardous goods, unsafe food, lead content in toys.

Its not good enough.

On the other front, the world is being fooled by Obama. The man chose to bring into his election campaign Rev. Wright. Obama at first denied knowing that Wright said the things he did.

What Wright says is true, it is sad that Obama who believes would not own up to believing that whitemen in the USA still treat African Americans with hatred.

What is not right is the way Obama denied this. We cannot have a president, we have already had eight years of lies with that other Compassionate Conservative Bush. Obama is Bush in different clothes. Obama is in the pocket of the nuclear industry of the USA.

It is no wonder that Obama doesn't really have a position on anything, or if he does, it pretends to be liberal, but when you actually hear what he says, it is shocking.

How can you have medicare just for working people in the USA? Those who need it the most are the poor who can't afford medicare.

He doesn't really present an economic plan. That is because once Obama is in, the nuclear industry which also invests heavily in the sell off of the USA to the world, the outsourcing...will mean that eventually under Obama the USA can stand to see a continuation and bigger recession.

I don't think the nuclear industry in the USA would allow Obama to pull out of Iraq, because the nuclear industry stands to gain from an increased military spending.

Its time Obama was shown what he is. Bush in different clothes.

Obama W

Watching the democratic debates or lack of, only shows and reinforces what some people are saying about Obama, the man says a lot but says nothing. Doesn't that remind you of someone named W? Great, the world is in for another five years of a stumbling idiot prancing around with phrases like compassionate conservative, Obama is W in different clothes.

The alternates are not that great either, McCain who would fight Iran and drag the rest of the world to the brink of world war on Israel's steps? For certain, Americans who compare Obama W to the next JFK, but yet day in and day out don't practice what they preach, are for certain going to vote McCain into another lame duck presidency.

That is the danger of the democrats in being conned by the shallow meaningless rhetoric of Obama W, as he seems to have earned the W tag. Ignorant of international politics, and using terms like sincere conservative etc...hmmm doesn't that remind you of George W?

The democrats by not choosing Hillary are destroying their only chance to make effective change in the world, and in not making history. It would be a bigger milestone for the Americans to vote a woman as president, than some black conservative who's rhetoric is no different than George W Bush.

Shame on the Americans, being conned by the empty words of Barrack Obama, he doesn't present any concrete economic platform, his rhetoric about universal health care is just no different than the republican's buy your own healthcare plans. Similarly engaging all world leaders stance echoes the same ignorance that George W Bush promised the world, the he was a uniter, Obama is trying to steal a page from George W. Barrack Obama the great rip off politician, the great plaguerist.

Hypocrisy over Darfur

Bush's comments about the "genocide"that is going on in the Sudan, are blatant hypocrisy. While his army routinely helps his Saudi-sponsored Arabs to wage a war of the Sunni/Shias, and basically practice Ethnic Cleansing paid for by the American Tax Payer, he has no credibility for demanding that Sudan stop its own ethnic cleansing.

Isn't it odd that everywhere, where the American military has supported Arabs in one way or another that you have reports of innocent Arabs being murdered. The Sunni/Shia war, where those Arabs who are not allied with the well to do Saudi Arabs, in otherwords, not like the Saudi, that you have "disappeared" people.

How long will this state of incredible unrest be allowed to continue in the Middle East? It has the capacity to spill over so many countries and become the next third world war. The big difference is, and the scary part in all of this, is those Saudi backed Arabs have paid for and bought the American military.

It takes away from the real reality of the incredible crimes that are going on all over Africa and throughout the middle east. You have armed conflicts going on that seem to help to pay off the Bush administration and their investments and the Saudi investments in the war machinery.

It takes away from the backslide that is going in the old Soviet Union, the rebirth of communism, and the growth of communism in the African states, the takeover of the USA by Chinese and East Asian backed economies.

Everywhere great crimes are going on, most specifically in the Sudan. It is sad that the world does not take the hypocrisy of George W Bush, where are the rest of the nations? Why are the Saudi Arabian government still supporting the ethnic cleansing, through their support of the Arabs clans who are practicing this genocide, the mercernary arabs of Sudan. Isn't that the greatest hypocrisy of all? George W Bush, the puppet of Saudi Arabia, complaining about the arab mercenaries who are practicing murder on Africans!

The Saudi War on Terror

Isn't it interesting how the world has all but forgotten the admission in November by the Saudis that they were subsidizing the Iraqi insurgency....now we know that the Iraqi war was not a war for democracy, it was a war begun by the Saudi Arabian government who own George W. Bush.

Or rather the CIA subsidized insurgency done with the blessing of the Saudi's.....after all who is that pays for the war machinery that is the USA? Surely it is not the American economy which is all but now all but bust, what with the large factories that used to build the world's share of household and automotive products are nothing but vast wastelands of toxic waste that now constitutes a broken down continent....sure there are jobs in the USA but not on the scale that made it a true world superpower.

I think it is time to stop the illegal act that is going in Iraq. The deaths of innocent Sunni Arabs largely at the hands of CIA sponsored hooligans and thugs, who also in turn blow up Americans, it is the same exact CIA war that went on in Vietnam....no wonder Bush hired the former CIA master to take over where Rumsfeld failed, after all it is Gates and the CIA that are really the insurgency in Iraq, not Al Qaedah.....sure the muslim extremist may conduct the odd campaign and lynching, but in reality the blood thirst that sees hundreds of Iraqi's disappear daily, sometimes thousands, oddly enough mirrors the same bloodlust that used to be the American South, the lynching of blacks at the hands of white American bigots.

The escalation of 20,000 troops is merely to finish off what Gates could not do under the CIA, the Saudis I guess must have pushed up the ethnic cleansing of Sunnis. It is time the world called it the way it is, Bosnia but in the middle east, this time it is not the Serbs who are cleansing, it is the Americans who are killing innocent Sunnis and Shia. We all think it is a war between the Sunni and the Shia, when in fact it is American soldiers who are ethnically cleansing Arabs, paid for and supported by Saudi Arabia.

What is sadder is the 5th anniversary of Guantamo Bay, George W. Bush's concentration camp. As if being a white bigot and beating up innocent women and children wasn't bad enough in the middle east, George has to take their men and ship them to Guantamo Bay, where hundreds of innocent and some not so innocent Arabs have disappeared.

George W. Bush is this era's Pinochet. The Disappeared which used to be the intelligent masses of Argentina, are this time the intelligent Arabs who speak against the white bigotry that is America.

And to imagine the Congress of the USA applauded George W. Bush when he spoke of Guantamo Bay...if they only knew George W. Bush has become Pinochet.....it is time to ask the west, if you are truly democratic and a nation of laws to arrest George W. Bush for crimes against humanity. For the hundreds of Arabs who have disappeared and who likely were murdered in Guantanamo Bay probably by Dick Cheney and his shotgun....time to arrest Bush and Cheney and make them account for the disappeared Arabs....

Shame on the Human Rights Watch

Shame on the Human Rights Watch for legitimizing the Israeli murder of innocent Arabs. Daily the Israeli Army deprives innocent Arabs who are only guilty of being in the right place at the wrong time, that is being at home in their own homeland, guilty of standing up to European Jews who have very little to do with Israel, and are no more Jewish, the Arabs are more Jewish than those supposedly Jewish Israelis, who's parents probably were proud members of the SS and are more white and more Aryan than Jew...shame.

It is time to stop this massacre. The west pays for the gasoline and the oil that fuels the Israeli Army Machine. It is time to stop this subsidy on death. It is time for the United Nations to declare the Human Rights Watch as just another White Supremacist Organization and put its members on a No Fly List perhaps....

The new cold war

It is official, NATO has declared war not only on Arabs, but has reissued its cold war demands on communism. We are on the verge of a new cold war. The losers are the innocent Arabs, the winners are as like in the last cold war, the communist.

Oh wait someone forgot to tell NATO that America lost the cold war, sure the Berlin Wall came down but Communism did not die. Instead it resurfaced its head in China.....now the Chinese have beat the west with the tool that the west said it beat Russia with, free enterprise....

However, we are on the verge of crushing the Compassionate Christian Conservative movement, that has murdered and displaced much of the worlds poor, regardless of where they are, in the USA, in Canada, in the UK, and most of all in Africa. The Cold war on the Chinese has also displaced many innocent Chinese that are now victims of Communist Free Enterprise.

Now it does not matter where you are in the World, Money reigns supreme regardless of which political stripe you may wear. Isn't that sad? The very ideals that Compassionate Christian Conservatives pretend to speak, Family Values, Compassion for the disadvantaged, has all but destroyed much of the families of the world, and taken away what little safety net there was for the disadvantaged.

And like the cold war of old, only those rich businessmen of the world are again cashing in on the world's misery.

In Iraq and Afghanistan and Palestine, the Arabs are paying dearly for the price of Compassionate Christian Conservatism. However this morning in Kabul, it was a bitter irony when two Canadian Draped Coffins were quietly put on military transport aircraft.

How can we say we are fighting a just war when those in charge of the war are being exposed for what they really are? Hypocrites, liars, murderers...

Democrats drop future

By not choosing Murtha, the Democrats have given away any hope for a Democratic run senate and congress or Democratic President. Murtha would have steered the Democrats on the winning course. Instead this opens the door to right wing Democrats, who will sell out to the Republicans and much of the chance to expose the sham that was the War on Terror, the Iraq War, the invasion and loss of Afghanistan, the puppet government in Kabul, the growth of insurgency run largely by the CIA....all of that has been thrown away. No wonder Pelosi was angry, it is sad that the congress would sell out their own for fear of exposing the sham that they have taken part in. The new congress in the new year will whitewash all the Republicans mistakes now. But I doubt Murtha will be quiet. Shame on the Democrats for selling out the world's future yet one more time....

It is interesting that the CIA-led Iraqi Insurgency is fulfilling its wildest hopes. Exposing the inadequacy of the world's strongest military. White bigots are just not good at occupying countries, suprise, anyone could have told you that white bigots sad tale of occupying countries only to lose them because of the horrible atrocities.....of course the world's longest war crime is still going on, it is called the USA...the poor American Indians are now close to 250 years of occupation and war crimes at the hands of white bigots....

It is also sad that the wests version of the real war on terror, the battle of the muslims to win back what is rightfully theirs will finally get real time air play in the west with the opening of english language Al Jazeera...it is time we got a bit of balance, trading one type of bigotry and propoganda with another....it is about time. Who says the cold war has ended, all we have done is trade the face of the enemy, that being the Soviets with the face of an Arab....the cold war against Muslims, otherwise known as the brand name of "the War on Terror".....perhaps between the propoganda known as CNN will be balanced by the other propoganda known as Al Jazeera, either way we will still horror stories of how the American Military is blowing up innocent Arabs.....

Actually the west lost the cold war, China has come out on top, Communism at your fingertips, in the hands of your kids, in the food you eat, in the socks you wear, in the components of the computer with which you read this, are all the prizes of the cold war, Communism has won. Now they are winning the hearts of minds of those poor countries where the white man has turned his back on, the poor countries of Africa and South East Asia, are all now the new partners of the Communist Super Power known as China. Even though the don't have the west's military might, they have won the capitalist game.....

This day of Remembrance

This is a sad day throughout the world as we remember the war dead. For those of us who have relatives who have taken part in war, we know the horrible truths of war. Those are that we must do things for the good of the cause we are fighting for, and that there is a loser no matter what is done or no matter who wins. War has no true victors. For my father, he never recovered from war, the toll of war laid heavy even though he never killed another soldier. The front line was a few hundred miles away, the threat of invasion for Northern Canada was great. Some of the most vicious ship to ship battles were fought off the coast of Baffin Island as the Germans tested the ability to land on Canadian soil. In fact they invaded Canada, set up a weather post in Northern Quebec and patrolled the inland waters of Canada looking for POW camps.

Frobisher Bay where my father guarded what became his brother in law after the war, was on constant guard against invasion. The German POWs who were interned here both hoped for and were in fear of being patriated.

Growing up I heard stories from my father of soldiers that were returning and were based here who told of horrible atrocities committed by our own soldiers and of the Germans. In war it is a sad fact that war crimes trials only sentence those who have lost. The injustice of World War 2 has addressed only the crimes commited by Germany, but not those committed by the Americans, the British and the Canadians on the poor countries that felt their wrath.

To this day there has been no acknowledgement of the war crimes done by the Allies on the world. My father and my uncle both agreed on this point and they would be on the opposite sides of the world as to whether the purpose for the war was that Germany was wronged in the first world war, that it had a genuine right to fight another war to reclaim what it had lost.

This is the sad tale of war. Grown men fight for things that children know are wrong. Today's war on terror is wrong. It is fitting that all over the world where ceremonies are going on that are still joined with the Americans, the coerced partners in the war on terror, the skies are grey. In the USA it was a sunny day in Washington, in natural justice the world knows that the war on terror is over. The terrorist has won this one.

Tomorrow the victims will like the Germans felt, fight another war and we the innocent will feel the wrath because we the innocent are not so innocent. We have paid through our taxes, we have agreed by stepping into the aircraft that flies and invades the countries that have nothing to do with the war on terror and we have murdered.

It is shameful that we include Afghanistan and Iraq in the Remembrance day ceremony. Shame on the world, that is why the world was grey, it knows what is going on in Afghanistan is not right. You can see it in the faces of the soldiers, they know they are in a place they do not belong, fighting a war no one wants, killing people who are not truly terrorists.

The situation in Afghanistan is worse off now, the Taliban are just as ruthless in their treatment of the civilians. The military buys the Taliban off to keep them quiet, but for how long will this shameful secret remain secret? That in spite of invasion we have not removed the Taliban? Women are not as free as the media pretends to paint them. When the cameras go away and the Afghanis are left to themselves the Taliban come back.

In Iraq, you have CIA led murderers committing horrible atrocities on the Iraqi people. The insurgency is not as big as it is painted, the real truth is the insurgency in Iraq are the CIA fighting its own soldiers just as it did in Vietnam....

It is interesting to see whether the rest of the world will demand justice. Perhaps tomorrow we will see Prime Minister Blair facing a hanging himself in Baghdad, or Bush facing Taliban justice in Afghanistan, or Harper of Canada facing a beheading in Saudi Arabia...imagine if the Arabs treated us the way we treat them? I am not saying that the world leaders should pay with their lives for the countless thousands of innocent women and children that their collective armies have murdered for no other cause than being bought off by military contractors and oil companies...the war on terror is really a corporate war on taxpayers.

Canada paid for her stance as a puppet of the USA, Canada which used to help the poor, disadvantaged is now changing its stance. It is coming out of its true skin, that of a white bigot country, a country run by white supremacist bigots who have more to do with Bush and the deep South of the USA than they have to do with what the rest of Canada stands for.

At some point diminishing respect on one of Canada's most austere days, this day, will reflect even more with less countries coming out to respect us for our sacrifice. Canada has paid with its most sacred, its youth, we have seen generations of young Canadians sacrifice their lives so poorer countries can thrive better, now we are seeing this generation of young Canadians die because not because Canada is there to make Afghanistan better, Canada is there to fight the enemy of the white bigots of the USA.....shame shame shame...

Unity Government: Hypocritical Statement?

Bush's plea for a unity government for Iraq, he does not practice for his own people. How can you demand something of people yet break those same rules? The War On Terror and the breaches on civil rights and civil liberties is outrageous. How can you ask people who you have murdered, bombed and schemed against to all of a sudden forget those young Alabama white boys who kill with zeal anyone who is not white, how can you ask those Iraqi muslims to forget the outrageous classification and racial profiling?

I think the USA will lose all credibility if they try to steal the Senate, it is time for the Repulican Party to give up the Senate, stop the war on Terror, and acknowledge a huge mistake was made against the whole world. Yes, other countries, Canada, the UK have all followed the USA on this horrible wrong path, they have together murdered close to over a million arabs...shame, shame shame....

Outrageous Attack on Mosques

Israel's shooting and murdering two Palestinian women is too much. The desecration of a holy muslim site is outrageous. It is no different than when Anti-Semites torch and burn Synagogues....an attack on a holy site by any military is taboo.

This speaks to the evil that has become Israel.

It is time that the world steps in and says enough is enough. This is what happens when the Republican Party of the USA tolerates racial bigotry and encourages attacks on any Arab.

Shame on the world for turning a blind eye to this act of war, this war crime done by Israel.

The hangover

Isn't it odd, that today the USA is facing and seeing its own soldiers killed by weapons that it sold to the enemy? Yes, the Contra-Affair saw a mountain of weapons go to Iran in return for supporting the insurgency against the Sandinistas.....

Now it looks like the Sandinista leader who was eventually overthrown by a CIA backed and CIA funded election, is on the verge of winning a real free election.

Isn't it a bit hypocritical to have a Red Monton Friday? The public opinion polls in the countries that have invaded Iraq and Afghanistan are now against having military imposed democracies in those countries...isn't that a bit hypocritical? No different than the argument that we say that we are overthrowing Muslim "facist"....trading one dictatorship for another....

Only in this case the infrastructure of the invaded countries are worse off and there are literally people starving to death in Afghanistan and Iraq....and dying of preventable diseases, all those things that a true democracy would fight against....

Protecting democracy?

NATO's comments about the fact that afghan civilians should not have been there and that was why they were killed in the recent bombing is to say the least outrageous!

The sad fact is that true democracy does not exist anywhere in the world. Nor is it a real democracy when the opposition is not allowed to run against the establishment. In this case the west has imposed elections and forced the Taliban party out of Afghanistan at the end of a gun.

What is so democratic about that? On the flip side, what is so democratic when the CIA and the USA's culvert operatives routinely assassinate and do "renditions" of those people who do not tow Washington's line?

How can we say NATO is also imposing democracy? In a muslim country like Afghanistan, the muslims want their population ruled a certain way. It is historic, it is their culture. Imposing western values does away with eons of knowledge, when you through out doctors, nurses and instead bring in only those Afghans who are card carrying conservative republicans, you are just replacing the truly conservative muslims who have knowledge with conservative westernized Afghans who are just as ignorant and unable to practice their skills because they are out of touch with their client base.

We are expecting an entire country to become some backward southern 56th state of the USA, complete with the lack of adequate health, water, sewer and ripe with redneck bigots....we are not imposing democracy, we are exporting the old KKK ways....shoot anyone or anything that questions white conservative values....

What the Taliban did by blowing up religious icons at the end of a barrel, the Americans are doing with high tech weapons, blowing up the history of the world, we are losing the foundation of Eden, of the first paradise, the foundation of mankind's knowledge after all came from parts of the middle east and from the very cultures we accuse of being backwards...

Terror against the Innocents

The United Nations sanction on issues towards North Korea is a sad tale. It goes against everything that commonly decent and humanitarian.

For over two decades the world has created a shocking and sad situation, it has murdered by turning its back on the poor innocent North Koreans in punishing the military regime.

It is time to stop the cold war, it is time to declare peace with North Korea, before the world carries itself towards the steps which begin world wars. The alienation and fight based on political ideals.

The only people who suffer at this type of nation based action are the innocent citizens who have nothing to do with any political ideal.

We as a people together comprise what nations are, and how can we stand by and watch the military leaders of the west push for and get sanctions against North Korea?

I think the world has forgotten what got North Korea where it was to begin with. It was the world's military that pushed for and got the alienation of North Korea. What is forgotten are the private citizens of North Korea. We are treating North Korea as it every individual in the country of North Korea belonged to the military regime.

It is time we encourage the Americans to back off, to let North Korea to back down, to stop this push towards a new nuclear age.

The death of free speech

It is sad when as in the old cold war days that the media would not report the truth, and instead repeat the propoganda of the military machines of the world.

We pretend today that we have free speech, that despotism and dictatorial regimes of the past have thrown off the chains which barred free speech. But instead, we now think that everything is well, that the "west" and the "free world" is doing the right thing and reporting the news as it is.

In reality, the media is back in the old wild west mentality, when it was perfectly okay to praise racial profiling, hatred of ethnic minorities and infringment of civil rights for the good of the nation, when in the days of Teddy Roosevelt the white way was the correct way and the Knights of the Klu Klux Klan were a respected fraternal order.

Today the media pretends the KKK has gone by the wayside, and yet it practices the same racial profiling and marginilization of ethnic minorities and pretends that only ethnic minorities are getting handouts from the government.

Nothing could be farther from the truth, it is the white American and Canadians who enjoy the kickbacks of government contracts, receive subsidized business handouts that help to ease and create an artifical standard of living, all the while denying the same rights and privelages to those it has made long standing contracts with, the aboriginal Indian and Inuit of the USA and Canada through land claims.

Giving with one hand and taking more with the other, like the Republican Party of the USA has done with three tribes of Indians in Arizona and Texas and stealing literally close to 50 million dollars that went to pay for the narrow win for the President....and yet decrying how native Indians are stealing from the states....what hypocrisy!

The media is only too ripe, only too willing to paint the Indians of the southern states as impoverished and receiving handouts. Yet in a recent report by the GOA, the accounting office, notes that wealthy american businessmen receive more of the money that is supposed to go to Indians and Indian programs, that it is the businessmen, mostly white Republican Christian businessmen who support the Bush campaign administer and withold the money that is supposed to go to Indians as part of the history treaty.

In Canada much the same type of hypocrisy goes on, the media of both countries that know about the scams and ripoffs, in Canada for every one dollar that a Canadian native receives, ten dollars goes to white Canadians who administer the money, the old ten for me and one for you, so really, what looks likes eleven dollars going to Canadian natives, is really one dollar while white Canadians get ten....so who is the real scum sucking lazy welfare recipients? Certainly not the natives, for one native person to get one dollar it take in a recent Auditor General estimate, five white Canadians to make sure that the Indian is not stealing that dollar, but they turn a blind eye to the other five white Canadians who administer the money....another ten to one ratio....so in reality there are more white Canadians who are ripping off the system.

The media is only too willing and ready to paint white Americans and white Canadians as the victims, of crime, of theft, of government mismanagement...when in reality it is the whites who set the rules and administer the very programs they claim are mismanaged and so really who are the real culprits?

It is time to stop this victimization of the world minority, the ethnic peoples. In Iraq the murder of innocent Iraqis, largely by American death squads, goes on and gets reported as ethnic strife and religious conflict. The reality is, it is the white man who is unwilling to allow the Iraqi to enjoy true democracy, and the only religious conflict is some Texan Christian soldier who hates anyone who is not white and who in vigilante style murder innocent Iraqis and calls it an "action" against "insurgents"....

And yet the media is only too willing to report the body counts of those murdered by American soldiers in Iraq. For the number of so called Al Qedah terrorist, which are reported to number only a few thousand, it would be impossible for Al Qedah even if it conducted 24 hour insurgency without sleep for a whole year to murder that many people...these Al Qedah soldiers must sleep sometime and it is physically impossible to conduct such operations with that many American soldiers around Iraq on such a mass scale....

There is only one answer, it is certain that Al Qedah blows up the odd American soldier perhaps once a week.

This can only mean that the CIA or some other American backed counterinsurgency program is going around killing its own soldiers, murdering innocent Iraqis all in the name of demonizing Islam, Muslim, Sunni and Shiites.....not even the Arabs are this blood thirsty.

Only the Americans have a long and proven track record of murdering on a mass scale innocent foreign nationals....they did it in Panama, in El Salvador, in other parts of the world....and now they are doing it in Iraq.

All the while the world's media plays along. It is time to stop this mass murder. Only God can forgive those Compassionate Christians perhaps....or not. What they do in this life they will have to answer for in the next. The same goes for the media which pretends to speak for freedom and democracy.

In this case democracy seems to have a huge price. It is genocide now, even genocide is not the price for democracy, ask the Jews....this is no longer democracy, it is no longer free speech. Murdering this many arabs on the same scale as Jews were murdered in WW2 is not acceptible. Even at some point the Jews will have to come to this realization. The controversy over dead Iraqis coincides with the reports of dead American soldiers. It is the Old Dixie justice showing itself all over again. In the Civil War days of southern USA, there would be instances of retribution against black slaves by confederate army soldiers, retribution against Indians who were considered friendly to the Union soldiers. The old American justice shows itself. In this case it the bag of dirty tricks by the American President, official deniability, like the denial of Foley, the pervert Republican and the pages, the shocking truth that the President and the Republican Party knew as far back as early in Foley's election of his perverted ways.

The dirty tricks of the CIA, the FBI, the American justice system, and the American Army, shows itself in Iraq, in Afghanistan. One wonders how many IEDs are really set off by the CIA on their own soldiers, in the same way the CIA conducted a war on itself in Vietnam to test and train its spies....how many dead American soldiers are murdered by CIA funded operations? Is there really an Iraqi insurgency?

Isn't it interesting that in Vietnam that many innocent civilians were murdered routinely by the CIA and CIA funded soldiers...now you see cases of Iraqis who are murdered in the same grotesque way Vietnamese citizens were murdered during the Vietnam war? Right out of the dirty tricks school of Florida's CIA camp....death by Black and Decker, death by power tools...grotesquely described by a state sponsored CNN network, the modern day Voice of America.....

I can't but help wonder if the western media is in deep denial. Particulary CNN. Take for instance the constant Bush-isms, George W insulting Arab leaders day in and day out, like calling non-aligned countries as part of the "Axis of Evil"....then when the so called "Axis of Evil" do the same thing and rebut back saying that America in its actions is itself evil, then the western media basically calls it show boating.

The Iranian President spoke the truth. He is also hypocritical in stating Iran respects human rights. The murder of a Canadian journalist has never been dealt with, the detention of religious minorities and journalist still goes on today. Iran is far from being clean on respecting human rights.

But it is sad when a country like Iran has to come to the United Nations and tell it like it is. That the west in occupying Arab countries including Afghanistan, is committing war crimes and atrocities. It is not a war to impose democracy that the west is waging. If it was honest in what it states as the reason why Canada, the USA and the United Kingdom say they are doing in Afghanistan, imposing democracy, then what are they doing murdering the political opponents of Hamid Karzhai?

If the muslims want to have a democracy that restores the Taliban, then that is democracy in the truest sense. It cannot be democracy if it is for selective members of the country. I guess in the west democracy died a long time ago.

In the west, the democracy of George W. Bush is not one man one vote. It is a stolen democracy, taking away the civil rights of black people who have committed crimes, disenfranching only black people, the legislation is pretty straight forward in many southern states, it specifically targets race based ineligibility criteria. If you are a white criminal you can run for state office, heck you can become the President of the United States of American. But if you are a black criminal heck your rights are taken away, you cannot vote. What type of democracy is that?

For CNN to tout itself as the worlds spokesman for free media, and for John Bolton to complain that the Iranian President doesn't respect free speech, what a hypocrite. In a country where the FAA sets strict criteria in which the media may report stories as they relate to national security, there is no free speech in the USA. In a country where the interests that support George W Bush and the war industry, the same investors that pay for CNN, then there is no free speech.

The United States of America, Canada, the United Kingdom, and various other NATO countries are in a holy war against muslims. It is the whites against the arabs all over again, it is the Texas Crusade, complete with state sponsored Jews to make sure that the Arabs don't have control over what they consider amongst its most holy, Jerusalem. Jews who have no more claim to Israel as any tourist has, except that it is imposed at the end of a gun. How can we say the Jews of Israel have a freely elected democratic country? They are just pawns of the American industrial might.

If it were not for the european Jews in Israel, the middle east would be a relatively quiet part of the world, they probably would help to contribute to civilization and help to improve life on earth. But because we have a holy crusade of Europeans all over again, humanity loses big time.

God does not want human beings to take away from each other the essence of life, God doesn't give the Jews and Christian manifest destiny to set what it considers as Humane. Those values which the west states as the foundation, itself it takes away from others who are not of the same color, that is, humanity and humaness are reserved for white male bigots, women have very few rights in the west. How can we use the excuse of women to invade and bomb innocent arab civilians, many of them being Arab women and children? Isn't that hypocritical? The west which still practices inequality towards women for equal pay, for political rights to lead a party, for not recognizing the rights of women overall, how can it use this excuse to decry what the muslims do?

The west still does not respect its own minorities. In the USA and Canada the plight of aboriginal people is shameful. In the European Union including the UK. the plight of its minorities is pitiful. Ireland still does not have full autonomy as an island, Scotland still has not received full reparation for over a thousand years of atrocities at the hands of the British.

It is shameful that the everyday values in which the west uses as excuses for routinely bombing and killing people in the other parts of the world, that they are part of some terrorist organization, or that they are muslim extremist, is shocking. It is just a continuation of what whites have always done, hate anything or anyone who is not white.

The whole Israel thing is taking on a totally perverse angle. The Israelis who use international law as the excuse for invading Lebanon, (without a declaration of war) and bombing innocent civilians who have nothing to do with Hezbollah, and who are mostly arabs, the Israelis being largely recently imported European Jews mostly from the East Bloc...is perverse.

What Hezbollah did, is no different that the first European Jews who invaded Israel and bombed the British, American and Canadian forces that occupied the region after the first world war. The big difference is the arabs who comprise Hezbollah are indeed fighting for their homeland.

Israeli Jews who state it is their God Given right to reclaim the land that God gave them, is preposterous as many of the Israeli Jews have not genetic connection to the original jews, they are more European than ethnically jews.

It would be like Canadian Catholics invading Italy and stating it is their God Given right to wage war to reclaim historic Catholic lands. It is just not politically correct, nor morally, nor even religiously correct.

Israel and the European Jews who occupy it are this century's Holy Crusaders.

But, for a nation to practice terror and bomb innocent citizens is immoral, the excuse Israel uses to routinely invade Palestinian lands to fight Hammas is that it is fighting terror.

The things that Israel says it is fighting it does itself. It commits acts of terror and breaks international human rights by routinely assasinating and murdering arabs it deems as enemies. This is no different than the Germans murdering jews during world war 2, no different. Complete with Israeli Defense Forces shooting unarmed children in the streets. Or detaining and excuting arabs without trial. Seizing their assets, taking their houses and lands. The same things that the Germans did to Jews, the Israeli are doing to the Arabs.

The big difference here is this is the arabs traditional homeland. The Israeli on the whole are not even first generation Israeli borne, if even second generation. You have the creation of an Apartheid White Supremacist State in the middle east.

Watching CNN's Anderson 360 program makes one wonder just how dangerous the path the world is headed in. When one group of people blow themselves up to create or push for their own country, we give them billions of dollars in aid and the latest military technology. When the people that these people force out, do the same thing, we send our snipers to help assasinate them without trial. This is called Israel and the arabs. We favour the jews in their selective version of terrorism. Yet when Arabs fight back to get their land, we call it terrorism, label them as muslim terrorist.

The issue with Hezballah, or what ever version of spelling you endorse, yet when the Lebanese Arabs fight back to win their lands, we call them terrorist. We look at history, we see the marines blown up in Lebanon and we declare war on Hezballah. It was not even some sixty or less years when the jews blew up a building consisting of allies, americans, british, canadians, and the west did not declare a war of terror on the jews.

Just what gives?

When the muslims use military technology, we call it terror. When the Israelis use military technology we call it the war on terror, yet both are practicing outright acts of war crimes. The Hezballah for fighting back without an outright declaration de facto treaty of war and killing on many occasion innocent civilians who have nothing to do with Israel or Israeli sovereignty or history, and who just want a place to live. Israel for invading another sovereign country and killing innocent civilians of another country or foreign nationals, like the family of Canadians which was murdered by an Israeli airforce plane.

It is time to call it the way it is. CNN, CBC, the world's media, should use the terminology used by the UN security council, invasion, murder of innocent civilians, breaching international law, breaching the Geneva Convention.

How can Israel be supported, it practices outright acts of murder. It selectively without trial murder those citizens that it perceives as threats to the nation. Yet it practices that which it denounced. When Hitler killed Jews to protect German Socialism, the world cried out. Because it was assasination without trial, murder by the state. Some sixty years later the Jews of Israel are murdering Arabs in the same fashion. They are forcing them into concentration camps, throwing them out of the country, blowing up their places of refuge, using the same terminology of the third reich in describing the arabs.

Yet if the jews had not stolen the land from the arabs, all of this would not be an issue. The arabs in fighting back have the weight of international law behind them. They are expatriate nationals fighting to secure their homeland back. The jews who occupy arab lands are no more jewish than the arabs they displace. They are europeans, complete with the history anglo saxon perception of apartheid, of white superiority.

It is time to denounce Israel for what it has become. A rogue state practicing racist actions, another South Africa. That is all it is. An illegal nation from border to border to border.

The dangers are all there, you have the worlds' military amassed near Lebanon and on their way to protect fleeing foreign nationals from the region. You have an Israeli army that has invaded Lebanon, blowing up innocent civilians, destroying the Lebanese infrastructure.

You have the Lebanese Army with Syrian and Iranian observer advisors ready to fight back. You have a fragile Arab monarchy in Saudi Arabia which totters on the verge of fighting to win back the arab league. All it take is to anger Egypt and Libya and the money required to purchase military technology that would break Israel's assembled might, will have the capacity to transfer to a large scale conflict. A potential 3rd world war.

It is time to declare a unified front of humanity, fight what is unjust, recognize the right of another religion to practice its views. Stop calling the arabs terrorist. Otherwise they will fight back to make history right.

It is time to put the Europeans who are masquararding as Israelis, time to ask them not to infringe on sovereign arab lands. Time to recognize the right of arabs to join the state of Israel as equal citizens, time to take away the apartheid of the middle east.

It is a violation of sovereign states.

Larry King was off base when he asked if the Lebanese Army was Shiites. The USA has blamed the Shiites for everything under the sun. If the Saudi royalty decides to say enough is enough, the foundation that has created the USA will potentially crumble, the Saudi have already punished the west already, under the policy of globalization. All it takes is for the arabs to withdraw all their funding for the USA and the USA will become what it is almost now, a poor excuse for a modest economy.

This places China potentially as the king maker in the situation of a global conflict.

Price to Pay?

Lebanon's Prime Minister asked what price should innocent Lebanese pay to support one country that has chosen to bomb innocent civilians. What message is Israel attempting to send, other than it is okay to invade another Arab country using military weapons paid for by the USA and Canada.
The murder being committed by Israel soldiers and pilots, because that is what it is, an illegal act of war crime on innocent arabs, should not be accepted.

What price are you paying as the Canadian or American tax payer? Are you working long hard hours at minimum wage, or whatever wage, only to see your tax dollars being used to murder innocent arabs? Whether in Iraq, in Afghanistan and now Lebanon, the west's war on arabs has reached a new height.

At some point the arabs will retaliate and the war on terror will seem miniscule in dimension. It is time to stop this murder. Murder begets murder. This is not justice. This is not Israel attacking Hezballah.

Israeli Hypocrites

The argument that Israel has Palestinians in jail for conducting the same type of nationalist acts that Israel's founders conducted, acts of terror against Great Britian which had a colony in Israel is hypocrisy.

The Arabs who are fighting to get their land back are conducting the same type of bombings, attacks that jews conducted against the English. Now Israel which protects itself under International Law, is breaking International Law by arresting arabs without trial and basically sentencing them to life in prison without trial.

The same civility that Israel pretends to defend itself with, it does not extend to Arabs.

The indiscriminate bombing and invasion of Lebanon without a declaration of war, breaches international law. The murder of Canadian Lebanese Arabs by Israel bombs is a shocking issue.

Canadians and Americans who pay taxes should demand that their national governments stop giving billions of dollars to Israel which are used in kind to murder Canadian and American citizens in Lebanon. It is time to stop the illegal acts of Israel, time to stop giving away our tax dollars to Israel if it continues to breach international law and bomb innocent citizens.

Israel should declare war on Lebanon formally, invade and root out the Hezballah perhaps, but it should not conduct indiscriminate bombing and demolition of Lebanon's civilan infrastructure. The tax dollars that Americans, Canadians pay to help develop Lebanon and Beirut are being wasted, wasted by tax dollars which pay for the bombs used by Israel paid for you the Canadian and American tax payer.

There is the overall issue of the theft of Arab owned lands by jews to create northern Israel, and the Gaza. It is time to resolve this issue as well. When Israel says it wants to resolve the terror of Hezballah, the issue of terror conducted against Arabs which still go on today with Mossad agents murdering innocent Arabs who denounce the theft of Arab lands should be resolved.

It is indeed time for Canada and the United States to stop funding Israel if it will not give civil rights and honor and pay for the damage done to Arab owned lands. This injustice must be resolved. Until that is done Canada and the United States should stop giving military and financial funding which is used to bomb innocent arabs.

Demanding justice also means that justice should also be applied. Israel cannot demand the justice of arabs, when itself has done injustice to arabs and has not resolved that issue. When Israel arrests those Israeli soldiers who have murdered arabs, when Mossad is made to account for decades of murdering innocent arabs, then perhaps justice can be done.

Historic injustices

Israel cannot do anything right no matter what it does in anybody's eyes. The issue of historic injustice is forgotten. However, the murder of innocent Canadians in Lebanon who have nothing to do with the historic injustice between jews and arabs is shocking. Israel bombing innocent citizens regardless of who they are or where they are, is shocking.

It only opens the world's eyes to the pillaging of Arab lands to create the state of Israel. What Israel has won through war it can also see it diminish through war-like actions. The world is poised to go on the brink of world war on biblical proportions.

This time, there is no sober leaders in the USA, Canada or the Russian Federations. You have leaders who are drunk on power, abusing civil rights, conducting military operations that are on the grey side, which breach international law. The rules of war, require an outright treaty of war. Canada, the USA and Great Britain have not issued a treaty of war, yet they are supporting Israel in bombing innocent civilians.

While the USA complains that Syria and Iran are supplying arms, the USA is not exactly complicit in supplying arms, aircraft, that are being used to breach and are breaking international law.

Canada should denounce not only Israel for the murder of innocent Lebanese Canadians, but also it should denounce the kidnapping of Israeli solders.

At some point Israel should return lands that are the rightfully lawful property of arabs, and to accept those arab land owners as Israeli citizens. This defacto state of war, only helps to open the door to outright war on a global scale.

With nations not practicing the Geneva Convention in their war-like actions, it eerily echoes of situations that existed oddly enough in the holy lands and arab countries, and the perception that arab people do not have the same rights under international law nor are considered on the same footing.

It is time to accept our Arab brothers as full fledged citizens, honor the international treaties, honor the international laws that help to keep Israel as a state, it is time to call on Israel to come into the world fold and honor civil rights for Arabs.

The Spoils of War

It is sad when even now, some hundred or so years have passed since the British Empire basically finished plundering and building an empire at everyone's expense, that the traces of colonialism still rear their ugly wafts like some putrid pungent smell. Amid the declarations of civil rights, of human rights, of a war on terror in the name of democracy, the old disdain that the only civilized people who know better are not obviously people of colour.

What am I saying? When I was doing research on the the creation of nation states, in fact Canada's federation and what used to be the colonies that now comprise America, there was the old adage of "spoils of war" or the disdain that by force "Manifest Destiny" has chosen the "great white race" to rule the world. And that the losers, basically all of Canada's and the USA's native people, not so much Canada but the implication that by signing a treaty the natives have given themselves up...that all of a sudden sovereignty, identity, humanness which identifies Europeans, is taken away from natives. That is considered in war time, the victor decides and basically enslaves the losing party to terms and conditions as they relate to nation states.

Ergo, the spoils of war mean that despite international declarations such as the UN Charter of Human Rights, nations that practice war are still practicing spoils of war. The Geneva Convention reserved only for those Europeans who declare war on Europeans, minorities be damned....

It was this notion, that the Japanese understood only too well in World War 2, that even though they were interned as Prisoners of War, the benefits granted to German POWs were greater than those afforded to the Japanese. As if being of some other color meant that you were not human.

And the Chinese wonder why in Canada, a head tax was imposed, and wonder why the Euro-Canadians did not consider the Chinese immigrants as human beings. Merely named under derogatory names like Coolies...forced to pay a horrible head tax.

Oddly enough the historical context for the background that provides the panorama of the Chinese experience in Canada, is the British-Sino War, where the British went to war to impose an Opium trade. As a result of the loss in the war, the attitudes towards asians particularly those of the Chinese became a perception throughout the empire that they were "spoils of war". In fact some of the historical documents in England point to the perception that Chinese by losing the war lose their status of full fledged international citizens afforded privelages.

When the Chinese came to Canada against the backdrop of being a nation that lost a war by the United Kingdom over imposing an Opium trade, it is no wonder that the history and attitude towards the Sino-Canadian immigrants are basically atrocious. You have a hundred years of debate whether the Canadian attitude towards imposition of a head tax was fair.

Similarly the American attitude towards anyone who is not of the European race was considered as inferior. It is sad that these attitudes derived during a war time in that era have similarly eery tones in today's modern world.

Canada's apology was not sincere in that it did not mention the atrocities committed against Sino-Canadians, or the hundred or so years of persecution and denial of full citizenship in spite of progress. Even today you still hear refrains of "slant-eyes" and other derogatory terms.

It affects not only the Chinese. In Canada people of Afghan origin basically have their civil liberties infringed upon with secret wire taps, secret mail intercepts, surveillance, all because of they are "spoils of war". In the name of another war, we are again repeating the same atrocity that Canada committed against Asians. This time around it is Muslims.

Guantanamo Bay and Canada's secret prisons are horrible realities of the "spoils of war".

There is an interesting post on the counterpunch magazine web site, about a war crime committed by the Bush Hooligans....it is interesting the parrallels between the war on terror and the wild west of America.

I guess the USA has never progressed in its attempt to impose democracy on heathens who sit on land that poses to provide a profit to Americans. Let's see, I guess the Indians of the wild west should have known better than to stand in the way of modern American Manifest Destiny....tell that to the many Indians who died on the Trail of Tears, or tell that to Geronimo....

The US military committed a war crime in a holy site. Imagine if the Sunni or Shia were to massacre unarmed Americans in a church, oh no, the western media would be crying bloody murder, but because these are non-white minority types it's just another "insurgent" action...another untold number of needless Iraqi deaths, just another number to be marked up in the name of cheap gasoline....

Shame on the west for perpetuating this horrible crime against humanity. How can we say we are christian or driven by compassionate christian ideals and therefore conduct a war on terror?

When will the west learn and realize the horrible truths? What is happening in Iraq happened in the USA a century ago, expansionate ideals of manifest destiny...imposing democracy and free trade in the name of God and the Great White Way. I guess if you are stupid enough to be a minority born on land that can generate a profit for the American multinationals, then you should be ready to die in your Sunday best while you sing "amazing grace" in the religion of your choice, cause hey, you are just another insurgent...

Or the apathy of George W Bush in stating the crimes his army commits, the needless civilian deaths are no different than any violent day in America? The sad truth is, there is a great difference here, in America at least people are free to die, free to go to some hospital that can provide medical help, free to switch on electricity to help in the healing process, whereas the Iraqi's who had electricity and medical doctors no longer have that, and instead American Tax Payer dollars are being spent to conduct assasinations on civilians...The Iraqi's don't ask to die, in the USA the military doesn't shoot up the streets. The Iraqi's didn't ask the USA to bomb their hospitals or kill their doctors or blow up the electrical grid, or as Bush would say, they were invited to come in and liberate the Iraqis....and so they could be shot to death for no reason, so that could be denied basic human rights, the right to drink safe water, to turn on a light bulb when it gets dark, or get medical advice without worrying whether or not the marine is gonna shoot you on the way to the local Red Crescent?

Today is Coretta Scott King's burial today, the wife of Martin Luther King Jr. IT marks the end of an era for many Americans. Yet it leaves unresolved the issue of Civil Rights in the United States of America and Canada. Today as we embark on the holy war on Terror, George W. Bush's war on Muslims all over the world, it is sad that many people have lost their civil liberties and rights to be protected from the state.

Who said the cold war was over? Instead the USA has continued a war on the rest of the world and the Muslims gave them an excuse to perpetuate a war economy and continued infringement of civil liberties.

I think the anger over the Mohammadean cartoons all but opens the world's eyes to just how far and the extent to which the west practices racism on what it perceives as the "minority" which in fact numerically throughout the world is really the "majority".

When is the west going to realize the "great" "white" "Way" is no longer the peaceful way? That by waging a war to keep it the "great White Way" does not guarantee that it will continue?

The Dangers of Democracy

Canada seems to be poised at the brink of disaster, that is if you are a real Canadian. However if you are a CBC journalist angry at the Liberal Government for locking you out in 2005, then of course the Conservatives "its time for a change" takes on an ominus tone. Yet it seems the CBC television and radio are poised to bring down the Liberal Government. Yet they don't realize that the Conservatives will literally rip Canada apart from head to toe and basically destroy all that Canada considers as Canada, and create a New Mississipi, complete with Hurrican Katrina messes called Indian Reservations....if only the Canadians knew what the Conservatives had planned....I guess a glossy campaign where the Conservative leader Stephen Harper is protected from the media by a bunch of angry body guards and only makes appearances to make an announcement and slinks back into the dark dark conservative world...almost like as if it is like the Lemony Snicketts comment "the adults never listen" if they only knew the truth.

The Horrible Truths

Often forgotten in this world are the poor, the minorities, while we read about and listen to what the "white man" has to say. If we look at the list of what white people have to say about natives in Canada, like, "look at them when they are drunk, when they are sober, when they are in jail"...things like that. It is sad that white people are no different either when they are "drunk when they are sober when they are in jail" either.

These are the Horrible Truths of world. The shocking truth is no one is different. Not the drunken muslim womenizers who hijacked the three planes on September 11, 2001. Not the drunken US and Coalition marines who daily shoot innocent Sunnis today in response.

We are all in a way slaves of the modern world. We are all subjects of the mighty world wide multi conglomerates. Everyone wants to be the rich white entrepreneur it seems, us working class poor seem to generalize everyone as the other. We point to the minorities, to the poor, to the disadvantaged to show we are better than they are. Yet the poor don't often have to put up with the working class have to, the conspiracy of the rich as some world class philosphers would say. We don't have to put up with endless calls with VISA, or fight City Hall over snow on the driveway, or worry about some Conservative Politician who wants to yet again blame the poor, the disadvantaged for gun crimes and shady ad salesmen....no the poor starving masses of the world don't have to worry about Ford SUV recalls, or the dangers of additions to gasoline, or whether the government hires enough natives, or provides safe drinking water and so on. No the poor have a different set of priorities.

It is interesting to note that the Katrina Hurricane has all of a sudden awoken even the United States of America, to the horrible disparity between whites and african americans, rich and poor. However I think it is all in the name of the war on terror, that even everything and anything is whitewashed literally.

It would be interesting to see if Haliburton too benefits from this. It is sad that the world's military would have to do the saving, when the biggest military in the world was too busy blowing up innocent Sunni Muslims, or helping the Afghan drug lords.....hmmm, I guess the priorities are set by those who control the puppet strings that move George W....

No Nukes

At seven p.m. tonite, August 5, I will stop for a minutes silence to remember the Hiroshima victims. It is sad when a nation goes to war and goes to extreme measures to stop death by killing many others. There is the horror of war, the horrible disfigured bloody half dead, the black smoke, the carnage of broken buildings glass and incredible silence of death.

Who are we to continue to think we can do this to each other? This war on terror can only be but one step towards another Hiroshima, when will we nuke another nation to save our own skins? How far are we willing to go to protect the rights of our sanctity of life by taking away the sanctity of life of others?

I remember being a young boy and for one year in 1965 in class, we practiced only once the drill of jumping under our desks in class to protect ourselves from a nuclear attack. I remember seeing the film on Hiroshima and thinking I would rather stand tall and be vaporized instead of crawling around asking for water, and slowly dieing the radioactive death.

It is sad to think today just because the Berlin Wall came down that we no longer face this horrible truth. The truth of nations who are willing to take away civil liberties, of enacting acts of war as nation states and justifying the bombing of innocent civilians to fight "terrorist".

We are no further away from this nuclear threat in fact, by taking away the stalemate, all we have done is come one second closer to an accidential nuclear holocaust, one nation bombing another and then seeing it escalate.

Of course there is the politically correct way of saying that the cold war is over, actually it never ended really. All that happened was that the Soviet dictator was replaced by a semi-dictator, who never stood down the nuclear silos, and the American military never reprogrammed or shut down their nuclear silos, the two are still facing each other.

Perhaps there will be a limited nuclear war, which will cost generations upon generations of death, 25 thousand years of contamination, and for what? For a political ideal? What is so free about being unable to travel the land that is contaminated with radiation? What is so communist about exterminating millions of innocents? What is so American about taking away the very freedom that it holds dear?

All we can hope for today is to hope that perhaps after a while, that eventually those in power will learn that you cannot fight death with death, you can fight death with life, with love, with hope, just like the victims of Hiroshima.

extremist everything

It seems these days you always hear of extremist muslim terrorist, but no one ever talks about the extremist christian vigilantes of Washington who drive the "Co-olition of the Co-erced", like as if we would ever hear CNN talk about extremist christian terrorist who carpet bomb a northern Iraqi City to root out Sunni Muslims. We are in the middle of a new holy crusade, it is the extremist christians against the extremist muslims, the USA versus the Arabs.

We never hear of George W Bush as a extremist christian terrorist leader, or the extremist christian crack down on anyone but the whites called the war on terror. Just what are white people afraid of that they call what they don't know "extremist"?

I am shocked like any other person, this is now the third place in the world where I have been that has been the subject of terrorist bombs. The first was the little used train station bombed by the IRA, which I overnighted in on my way down to Penzance, the second the world trade center, and the third was Kings Cross where I transferred the first time to get to that small train station.

In a way I can understand the anger people feel, the first time the bombing occured just one week after I had passed through, the second many years after though. BUT three times is just too often for any one person to have to live through.

It is a sad state of affairs though when terrorist bomb in the first place. But even sadder though is when the terrorist do it for a reason which seems to some to be justified enough to give the terrorist tons of money. Like bombing innocent civilians and racially profiling citizens for carpet bombing like the USA has done in the past in so many countries.

The Wrong Message

One couldn't help but think that perhaps the cynics are right about the pop star's message going to the wrong people. It was almost as if the pop stars are unwilling to continue to perform liveaid and this was their good bye to helping the poor. Perhaps I am wrong, who knows.

Also it seems that there were no people of color except for the odd performer, except in Philadelphia and Africa. One can't help but to think that perhaps white people know in the back of their heads that they know what the world that they have created has helped to create Africa and the disparity and the death. Africa was not always poor, the indigenous people had of course dealt with periods of starvation naturally, but not on this scale.

Or to be alienated from their lands in the name of commerce that benefits western financiers and companies. I am not saying that white people are to blame for all of the problems or that white people are all bad, it is just that there seems to be a concerted effort in the past to have pushed for a kind of manifest destiny on the world.

However, it is sad when so many people suffer so that a few could benefit, and benefit really well. It is sadder when Canada which has benefited through taxes derived from companies that do business in Africa and who have grown as a result would pay so little back from its wealth.

It is sad when wealthy people are afraid of not having enough money to help poor people, that they want to stay wealthy. Myself I am thinking of becoming a refugee and heading to southern Canada so I could try and find a job. My government here which says it is trying to help Inuit, it seems are not hiring Inuit.

Death of Freedoms?

Canada's posturing to try and get in step with the United States on its war on freedoms can only mean that even business will end up losing. While the rest of the world enjoys relative freedom, at least freedom from the insidious erosion of civil liberties in the United States and soon Canada, their economies are booming while ours is suffering.

The future however looks bright for those who really believe in things like justice, as for sure the police will arrest someone somewhere who is only looking out to eat the next meal by stealing or selling stolen goods, it seems this is the only life left for many in the "free world".

The future also looks bright for those with white skin who hate people with brown skin and who do not worship the same invisible friend called God. Only on this world do people blow each other up for imaginary friends who's voices no one can hear, and for a belief that is not of this world. Only human beings it seems are stupid enough to literally condemn themselves and the physical world to what they perceive as "hell" or "heaven".

Recently the well off nations forgave the poorer nations their debts, I guess the poorer nations it seems were not buying enough off the shelf modern weapons, heck some were actually using their "world bank loans" to actually help poor people. However the process of forgiveness of loans however seems to rely on the debtor nations in accounting for how they spent their money. I guess when the fingers started to point to the Bush family's consortium of weapons manufacturers I guess the audit was stopped and forgiveness granted so as to not shame the Saudi Ambassador to the US too much.

I guess all those weapons those 3rd world countries bought have become obsolete and they were so much in debt they could not afford to buy new ones except to create new markets and new sources of weapons. I guess the Chinese and the Koreans were selling too many weapons in return for bartered goods.

This is the danger of today's world. We see the erosion of civil liberties, the creation of new economies at the expense of our own because of the encroachment of laws on economy. Even the NAFTA crowd is warning the USA that it's war on common sense is beginning to eat away at the bottom line.

However when those who dictate the bottom line in Canada's and the USA's economy is not the ones who suffer, what do they care eh?

Free At Last! Martin Luther King Jr's words ran true and strong as the killer of the 3 civil rights workers was found guilty of manslaughter. It is always sad when a wrong is judged on earth, it is sadder that after fourty one years that the killer would finally be charged with man's rules. Ideally there should be no murder amongst men, and judgement should be saved for God in some christian virtues. However it is time when those who would use laws to enslave others would themselves find themselves enslaved to the same law.

Free At Last! I am sure many in the civil rights movement of old and new are rejoicing if only to see judgement fulfilled in this time when many of our civil rights are being trampled on. When many of the rights of black people in the United States are being withheld unconstitutionally but to use state legislation to take voting rights away from blacks yet again.

An old piece of legislation that was enacted to stomp on civil rights has been brought back thanks to George W Bush's Republican Party and their appointed judges who have decided that state legislation reigns supreme over the constitution. What a travesty, that means in some of the states that have never revoked slavery today can reinstate slavery if they so wish.

Free at Last. Well free before the cameras but enslaved to the system perhaps.

The Propoganda War?

The recent news releases about the latest Terror War talks about how cars are used to subsidize this terrotist infrastructure. This is like the recent historical accounts about how the CIA funded the Iran Contra affair, or the CIA sponsoring the opium war in Afghanistan against the Soviets of the 80's. The real story often gets forgotten, that is there is a reason why the terrorist are fighting a war of terror, oddly enough against states that oddly too sponsor their own brand of terror. The CIA is probably the world's most consistent terrorist organization, after all it was CIA operatives that trained Osama Bin Laden and Al Zarqarwi, and helped fine tune Saddam's genocidal army.

So really, perhaps all the USA has done is formalize it's own Terrorist War. Like W Bush's statements, "if you are not with us, then you are against us". That echoes the paranoid rantings of Stalin and his communist war on the west, oddly enough run in the same manner, where Soviet Bloc countries had their own no fly lists, their own propoganda radio broadcasts, that was one of the neat things of the cold war, the unique short wave radio shows which oddly enough illustrated real time events, each country telling the world about how it was breaking all the rules. Like the real time news casts of the Vietnam war and the atrocities, and concurrently the atrocities commited in soviet bloc satelites like in Africa or South America.

Now it seems neither country is too proud to be accusing each other of real crimes. Now we have the United States accusing muslims of being terrorist in a politically polite manner, or the Russians contemplating a rush back to communism.

A good example of the propoganda war was the hubbub over athritis medicine, out of the FDA's own admission that Pfizer had put out some pretty dangerous medication, that is if you don't want to die of heart attack, then after the USA election and the Republicans got back in Bush and his sponsors forced the FDA to recant about how dangerous Pfizer medication is not. What was all that about? Yet in countries throughout the world pharmicist were forced by the state to pull Pfizer medication off the shelves.

It seems the conglomerate of George W Bush Familia extends far and wide, after all according to Michael Moore the Bush's are all but Saudi puppets. Isn't it odd that the Saudi's would push the states to conduct a war of terror not on just muslims, but muslims who are not of the same faction of muslim or mohamadean philosophy, that predominately moderate or Sunni muslims are the target?

This is like the modern Spanish Inquisition, except the world is being held at ransom, at least when you have to travel internationally, or when you want to cash a cheque, or apply for medical health benefits, or heck even just breathing, it seems that the state is pondering putting CCTV monitors on all of the public streets.

So when will this encroachment on our civil liberties end?

Forgotten History?

Too often we think because some politician has made a wonderful speech or held a press conference attached with a lot of funding that we no longer have to worry about certain issues.

However, this could be no further from the truth, take for instance the erosion of civil liberties in the United States and Canada after the 9/11 tragedy. The terrorist got what they wanted, they wanted us to trample on our own rights, they fought us with our own weapon of democracy.

By protecting democracy we have destroyed democracy. We have installed and instilled new values, of detention without trial, and created concentration camps to send the most undesireable, usually people of color.

However what is also forgotten is that in the war on terror that we have created a new military technology, new computer programs and viruses that have destroyed people's laptops, banks have changed how they conduct business, even our social programs have stopped helping people.

In a way we think because we all believed Martin Luther King Jr. or that John F Kennedy was assasinated for protecting civil liberties, that the world is a better place. However even though the Berlin Wall came down, with Reagan's famous words, the new world order did not however include the freedom that we said we gave the communist.

Instead we took away our own freedom. You could almost say even though the cold war may have warmed up, we have created a new luke warm war on ourselves as people. So really have we forgotten our past, have we succombed to the problems that plagued our forefathers, that by forgetting history we forget who we are and instead commit the same mistakes?

Absurd?

Isn't it absurd how George W Bush comments on the Amnesty International Report of Guantanimo Bay being a concentration camp? Well if you look at what a concentration camp is, perhaps where is the absurdity? Guantimo Bay has the fences, the guards are the clock and enforced solitary confinement, and prisoners who disappear to 3rd countries to be tortured to death in places like Syria or Saudi Arabia.

It is sad what is happening, obviously the United Nations must step forward and condemn this war on humanity, this war on human rights, the war on common sense.

Land Reform needed

Canada is a horrible country when it comes to the issue of land. If you are business you are made to jump through a myriad of red tape and pay legal fees and you end up being a hostage of the system. It is no different if you are private homeowner who wants to build in municipalities or towns. It is a wonder that anyone anywhere can get land to build houses or businesses on.

Then the government wonders why only the richest get homes, or why there are so few businesses that strike out on new land.

I think the entire fee simple system needs to be looked at. It is legalized loansharking if you ask me, you literally have to buy the lease on the land, you don't really own the land, you lease it. So really no one in Canada really owns land. Even the natives are forced to sign land claims that accept this principle of leased land.

There are no land owners in Canada, except Government.

It is time that people were given the chance to own land and not be beholding for ninety years or whatever the lease says, to some local government that could at a whim decide to build and overpass or railway or decide your home is slated to house the next sewage lagoon or that they have sold it to Walmart. Honestly.

Generations of people who lived on the land before like farmers, who knew the system well enough and it was fair to some degree could rely on solid issues like a reliable bank that would not raise its rates, or have some megacity encroach and raise land taxes.

Then in Canada we wonder why are there so few farmers? Owning land is really a myth, cause you never really own it, you own the deed which is basically a lease, cause you pay land taxes and when you die sometimes the lease does not transfer and your children don't inherit the credit you've built up so they are forced in some parts of the country with starting all over again.

Land ownership though seems to favour large corporations that can access tax relief and government handouts in some cases allowing them to remain on the land as long as the right politician is in power.

It is no wonder in some parts of the world revolutions are fought and strange political ideals imposed around land, collectivism basically benefitted those who could afford to pay off the bureacrats, and republicans lost their newly acquired land to the bank if they had a bad year and couldn't pay the taxes or the interest rates.

That is why the world should look at a better system of providing land.

In those parts of the world that are lucky enough to provide social housing, like Canada, often the projects fall into dispair because the societies or boards set up go bankrupt paying the land taxes, so you get what we call the "projects", ghettos.

Or you get provincially funded social housing that goes bankrupt paying to both the municipal and provincial bodies, which seems a bit of a paradox.

Without land people cannot build housing, without adequate housing people cannot live prosperous meaningful lives. Society cannot benefit. only the rich could do that. Why can't we as a people change it so we as a people benefit? Why do only a few handful of rich people benefit at the expense of all?

We Shall Overcome

I remember hearing the static of the CBC Northern Quebec Shortwave radio those few words which opened my mind, a breath of fresh air, a notion of peace swept over me, validating what I felt the winter before having suffered bruises and a black eye and chipped tooth for defending Apex Hill's first black children, the Boatswains, Sheila and her younger sister. "We Shall Overcome" like the church hymn it all seemed to make sense and I understood what it meant to stand up for the rights of others and most of all for what you believe.

A lot of the children in Apex Hill were led by the white kids of school teachers and a lot of them knew from watching movies that black people were not equal. However up until that time all they had seen was Lionel the janitor, never had they had black children.

It was like electricity in the air, the first recess after the Boatswains first came to the school, you could see the gang of Inuk kids and their little white bully leader. First it began with rocks being thrown close to the girls, then like some old KKK movie, the children started running around and knocking the Boatswain girls down.

In the afternoon recess it continued and I couldn't help but think something was deeply wrong with this. After all the Boatswains hadn't done anything wrong, they were too new to school to have done anything.

The night I pondered over this and thought, I have to do something, someone needs to say something. I approached my second grade teacher but all she said was this is how black people are usually treated down south and to mind my own business it'll settle down of its own accord.

By this time a lot of kids had assembled at morning recess to watch and see if the Boatswains had returned, and they were literally thrown out by their teachers into the lions den. A lot of more Inuit kids started to join in the cat calls, "nigger go home" or "nigger go back to where you came from" or "you don't belong here".

In the afternoon the violent attacks on the Boatswains returned, I guess the kids had run out of insults to yell and I walked over and asked the other kids to stop. What have they done to you? I asked. Who are you to beat them up for no good reason?

Instead all I got in return was a beating. I got a bloody nose and the wind knocked out of me and they turned on the Boatswains. I could not stand for that in my heart and even though I knew it would hurt more I stood in front and stopped the boys from beating up the Boatswains. By this time it had caused a commotion and the principal came out and forced everyone apart and the Boatswain's dad was called down and he took the girls home.

I ended up getting fifteen straps with the horrible rubber ruler for intervening.

"We Shall Overcome" always makes me shudder sometimes, a pang in the pit of my stomach remembering the horrible racism in Apex Hill, Iqaluit's little suburb.

It is interesting that at that time in 1968, Frobisher Bay was partitioned, white people lived on one side of the fence and Inuit on the other. Inuit were not allowed on the white side which had restaurants, the army barracks and airport unless they had a pass or were a guest of white people.

There was a rickety International Harvestor red bus that served as rudimentary public transport and when whites rode on it Inuit had to ride in the back.

The next day at school I reminded those kids who beat me that we were no different than the blacks and that we were treated just like blacks by the white and if anything we should welcome the Boatswains.

After this the girls were no longer targeted by the gang of kids, except for the odd time when the white bully would try and beat up Sharon but she started to hit back knowing I was there to help if things got bad.

It was that summer when with a couple of other kids in blatant violation of the rules that I walked past the fence with my friends and we sang "we shall overcome" as we walked amongst the Butler type buildings where only whites lived. You should have seen the white ladies come out and yell "you shouldn't sing that" or "you should know your place" or "only whites allowed here you know that"....

We had the Canadian Forces jeep come to screaming halt in front of us to stop us from walking and we just walked around it and kept singing, it seems we had caught the white people off guard.

Word got around that these few Inuit were singing this song, and the fence came down as people on the base started to question whether the rules were really fair and all. I think that many whites in Frobisher Bay heard the rickety sound of the crackling short wave radio later when Martin Luther King Jr. gave his "I have a dream".

It is sad though that the west has not gone that far ahead, sure we got rid of segregation, but the artificial segregation, the polite attempt to sound politically correct, however does not hide the tremendous akwardness some white people display when people of any color behave as if they too were equal. I have seen it many a time.

I think though that the west has come a long way since 1968, and to this day I can still feel the bump on my head from when I stood up against the racism, the same racism that killed my hero Martin Luther King Jr. Do you have a dream, have you overcome?

Darfur Trial

It is interesting that the Darfur has finally received some deal of recognition, however today the murders are still going on. Interestingly the west has decided it is up to the Africans to resolve this. This sounds good, that is until the Africans cannot send troops to the areas affected because of lack of fuel, or supplies. Then when troops arrive you get stories of rape by the peacekeepers arising in some areas. Perhaps the west should instead that it demand to send troops if only to police the peace keepers and protect the most disadvantaged.

It is sad when those who are sent to help instead end up abusing those they are sent to save. Sadly no corner of the world is immune to this type of abuse, regardless of race, creed, ethnicity. That is why it is important that an outside organization such as the western countries at least try to send in policemen with peacekeepers much like Canada did for Haiti.

How can we catch all of the people who did the killings, perhaps all the west can do is arrest the military rulers who overlooked this debacle. However, the people that pulled the trigger and shot and raped all those people get to do it over and over again.

Isn't this a bit of a hypocrisy, much like the ruthless murders that went on with the Serbs demanding that they police their own, yet they went and still committed atrocities. I fear in Africa those who have the power and money to buy off the peacekeepers will do what they wish and continue to force people out of Darfur who are not considered as worthwhile.

The Almighty Canadian Tax Payer?

I am tired of encountering Canadians who think because they pay taxes that this gives them some inalienable right to think that they own my soul just because I am a native person. I don't know, did I miss something here? Did Canada pass a law which legalizes blatant racist comments and actions based on a stereotypical notion of because people pay taxes that they have bought other people who rely on handouts from these taxes? Did Canada legalize some sort of slavery? Are Canada's native people the new slaves of the twentieth century?

Or because supposedly that Canadians have the mistaken belief that Inuit get the same handouts as Indians that this means Inuit are not afforded the same rights as any Canadian?

Or the other belief that since Canadians paid for Nunavut that Inuit are the new slaves of Canada? When in fact, the only people to benefit from all that money that was supposed to go to Nunavut is the Indian Affairs Dept. that keeps most of it, and then in recent embarrasing reports neglects to hire any Inuit in Nunavut to any degree.

Or the other mistaken notion that since the Nunavut Government was created and that Inuit got jobs that Inuit are beholding to Canada?

The actual truth is in a recent report released by the Government of Nunavut very few Inuit work in the government. Furthermore most of the hires into the Government were largely from Newfoundland, because most of the Human Resources Dept heads in the various departments are from guess where?

Even if Inuit benefited from the Great Canadian Tax Payer, actually it is the Great Canadian Tax Payer who will reap 100 per cent of the revenues derived from mineral and gold and silver and diamond development, reaping many times over the money it pumps into Nunavut. In fact the amount of money Canada benefits from, means really that it is Canada that should be beholding to the Inuit.

The other myth is that Inuit get what the Indians get, so again Inuit should be beholding. In actual fact Inuit get none of the benefits that status and non-status Indians receive except for non-insured health benefits, which do not cover very much in the way of medical needs.

So what the hell is the average Canadian Tax Payer thinking, have they become the new Americans, ignorant as hell? Does that mean Newfoundland, Saskatchewan, Quebec and the maritimes have their rights reduced as Canadians?

No they don't, in fact the recent agreement between Newfoundland and Ottawa only gives Newfoundland a guaranteed billion dollar handout, on top of Newfoundland keeping resource revenue from its offshore.

When you consider that Indians have received over the years in comparision to the resources and the revenue derived by Canadians from Indian lands it is but a small drop in the bucket. It is way smaller than the handouts Canadians give to themselves. For every dollar that goes to an Indian either on a reserve or off reserve, some ten Canadians receive ten dollars each. So really in a way, the handout to Indians really means a handout to Canadians. ISN"T that hypocritical?

What have Indians done to deserve this? Have they committed some atrocity to Canadians? Do they harbour such a horrible secret one that is so embarrasing that Canada or no one speaks about it, to deserve some five hundred years of persecution for this?

No. In fact Indians have helped Canadians with developing Canada. Indians have fought alongside Canadians to preserve peace and nationhood in all of Canada's wars, both on Canadian soil and overseas.

Inuit have never fought a war with Canadians. In fact Inuit have helped the new first Canadians to the north with surviving the harsh winters.

Have the Inuit done some horrible deed too to deserve such persecution? None that I know of.

How much money has Canada spent on developing the north? In comparision to say the development of Southern Quebec and Ontario, Canada has spent trillions of dollars over the years. In comparison the average money spent on northerners that actually is spent on the north and arrives up here by percentage is smaller.

By the way, there is a small thing called the Charter of Rights, and the United Nations Charter regarding the freedoms endeared to all citizens that Canada helped to write. In those documents they speak to inalienable rights granted to all people and special provisions to Indians and Inuit, to be free from persecution.

Yet every day across this land, somewhere you have some university youth asking the Indian why should they deserve and continue to get handouts? Isn't that an acknowledgement of "you don't have any rights". Honestly. The point I am trying to say is, sure there is the decades of injustice and the continuing injustice in things like the Indian Act which takes rights away from divorced Indian women, or the rights away from elected chiefs when it comes to accepting funds on behalf of the tribe.

But honestly, we don't do the same thing to premiers when we give them block funding for various programs or funding for equalization to poor provinces, we don't do that to the mayors of hamlets or cities when they receive funding, we don't do that to the Members of Parliaments or the Members of Legislative Assembly's or the Members of the national assembly, or the reeves of various county governments. Why is that?

So in a way, Canada has never abolished slavery when it comes to the rights of native people. Most of all it has placed Inuit with a status of practically being persona non grata. Only countries that practice genocide did that, but in modern day Canada Inuit are the invisible people.

Mind you, Governor General Clarkson and Prime Minister Martin will only gladly take credit for showing off an Inukshuk or have some CBC radio announcer come and do the throat singing thing, you know the Hollywood Eskimo stereotype.

In a way it is sad, that in this day and age, little white kids think it is perfectly okay to think that natives are nobodies cause hey "they don't pay taxes"....

Nothing could be further from the truth. Inuit have always paid taxes like anyone. We pay the GST, we don't get any tax breaks just because we are Inuit. If anything Canadians take advantage of us. They boost the price of gas, of air fares, of food, of everything, just because we live in the "north".

If there is any "almighty tax payer" it is the Inuk who has to live with artificially induced inflation, paying two times the price of what someone pays for down south for goods and services and then pays the GST on top of that double price markup. What costs a Canadian Tax Payer 30 cents with 7% GST on top, the same goods in the north costs the Inuk 90 cents with 7% GST, that's a 14% GST markup if you do the math correctly.

So really, who is the almighty Canadian Tax Payer then eh?

The Lies of Justice and Human Rights

Nunavut recently passed human rights legislation that was supposed to protect the rights of workers, the minority, the gay, religious freedom. However it is lame duck legislation, with no enforcement attached to it. All it has done is create a vacuum of disparity, an excuse for the government to abuse the very piece of legislation it stated was supposed to help.

In the same way the west passes treaties, signs declarations and joins the United Nations committees pretending to protect the rights of all. Canada is one of the worst offenders of human rights when it comes to ethnic minorities, specifically the Maher Arar case brings to light the willingness that the white people of Canada are willing to go to stomp on civil rights.

For the past few decades now since the United Nations was formed Canada has routinely come under attack from dictatorships, from the old Soviet Bloc, for its mistreatment of Indians and Inuit. What a shock to have countries that practice genocide and gross violations of human rights to paint Canada in this picture.

Oddly enough year after year the Canadian Government has acknowledged that the civil and human and legal rights of Canada's native people have been abused in all of the provinces and territories of Canada. It seems no corner of Canada is immune.

For a long time now Canada's native people have demanded equality, only to have political parties like the old Reform Party calling these requests as unreasonable and that Canada should stop recognizing aboriginal rights and to assimilate the native people into society. Basically stating the old Serbian value of if you take away their culture they don't exist.

These are the tricks of white people to paint what they don't like and white wash the lies. The lies of equality, of justice, of Christian Compassionate Conservative Values. How can these people eat their breakfast knowing that what they say are lies?

Yet even today there is atrocities being committed against people of different colors. It is shocking that the United States has painted Darfur as genocide but yet turns a blind eye to bombing Sunni Muslims. The United States has begun a selective assasination of innocent Sunni and labeling them as insurgents.

It did the same thing to Panamanians when they ousted Noriege, an entire Panama City suburb that had nothing to do with drug trafficking or was not even connect, some 14,000 Panamanian Indians were massacred with Apache Helicopters, and bombs.

In the west we routinely think that white people have finally acknowledge minority rights. But that is not the case. Far from it.

A good example is the unwillingness to acknowledge the crimes of white Serbians against dark skinned muslims. It seems if white people do the killing and they don't kill other white people it is done in the name of the Great White Way.

There is no secret to this, racial profiling does not only exist in the USA, or Canada. No matter where white people are in the world there are clear cut cases of racial profiling. The benefit of which goes towards the white.

Perhaps the Hague should start turning their eyes to national governments and arresting Prime Minister Blair, Prime Minister Martin, President Bush, President Chirac, basically it seems anyone with blue eyes and white skin think it is perfectly okay to stomp on others who are not of the same color.

Are Inuit Not Canadian Citizens- the Disenfranchised?

There is a horrible atrocity happening in Canada. While the world views Canada as a leader in human rights and treatment of disadvantaged people everywhere, at home it is leading a campaign of disenfranchising an entire race of people. When Sadam Hussein led his war on the Kurds the Americans provided the guidance system for the ammunition that was used to gas the Kurds. The CIA it seemed had the same view of the Kurds as Saddam had. Now it seems the wrong person is in jail, perhaps they should have thrown the CIA director and his operatives in jail instead of Sadam, after all it was American funding and American know-how and technology and military advisors that helped to gas those innocent Kurds. It is interesting how we selectively view history.

Back to issue, some years ago Inuit used to be considered as Indians. That is until 1952 when they were no longer considered as Indians but still considered as natives. In fact today Inuit are legally in limbo. The Canadian Government has a classification of other for Inuit much like they have for foreign nationals.

Today if you are an Inuit person who is sick, and you happen to lose your residency status in any of the provinces or territories, and are stuck in some province, no health care system in the world will cover you.

The same with any federal programs that are ear marked for rural Canada it is a virtual Catch-22. They won't fund Nunavut cause hey Indian Affairs has programs for native people and Inuit are native people, but none of the Indian Affairs funding funds any Inuit programs for rural areas, cause hey the Nunavut Government is supposed to do that. Only they won't give the Nunavut Government money cause Inuit are not Indians. Interesting.

This day there are less than one thousand Inuit in the five thousand strong Nunavut Government. So again Inuit are being given the back door.

Talk about disenfranchisement eh?

Thank You Canada!

I want to repeat what my father always taught me to say, "thank you Canada!" He echoed the sentiments of many Inuit who felt a great deal of gratitude for being saved from a life of nomads, a life of starvation and disease, a life of beholding to evil and good shamans. A magical life that was like no other in the world.

I was the first one in my family born in a house, my father was eternally grateful and he forecast that I would reap the benefits of all the modern life would bring in the future. It was like he was looking in a crystal ball when he said that.

It is interesting cause he lived a very traditional life as a youth, almost starving to death many times and almost dying of tuberculosis and polio.

Even though the police shot my father's dog team and he could no longer hunt in the winter, he was still grateful. When the house he built with his own hands was taken away by the federal government because they wanted to get the land, my father was still grateful to Canada.

However he always said never trust the government when they make promises. He said trust the Canadians to do the right thing in the end in spite of the government.

Many old people still echo the sentiments, they knew the hardships of living a traditional life of hardship and fighting death at almost every corner. I think in a way the white man coming to the north was like a lifting of the darkness, a light was introduced for many Inuit in more ways than one.

One of them was spirituality, for some they had suffered in some regions under shamans who were tremendously cruel in enforcing Inuit culture and tradition much like any other religeous zealots elsewhere. For Inuit the introduction of chrisitianity meant no more shaman supported murders, no more enforced marriages, that Inuit could marry for love instead of being forced to.

Also it also meant that with the introduction of medication that many Inuit lived, however a lot died from new diseases like TB, or polio, and the dogs suffered new diseases too as the white people brought their pets and strange new meats.

I think the dogs knew something was wrong with what was happening. The dogs always knew, so it is sad that white people who loved dogs as pets more than they value Inuit in some ways, would in the end shoot the very thing that Inuit loved, dogs for the sake of dogs.

The introduction of law also helped to create some new balance, however it was abused by some Inuit in more ways than one to get even with those they did not like. What else is new eh in Humanity? The new order always purges the old.

Thank you Canada for the broken promises of guaranteed housing. My father was the first victim of that promise. Our family was forced into social housing that we could not afford to pay the rent. In a way, it is sad, however my father had belief in the system of the white man.

The new clothes are not as warm as the old stinky caribou and seal skin. The skidoos break down and won't take you home when you are ill. The water is no longer fit to drink in some places, the animals have all manner of disease. Thank you Canada for you big hand outs that you always remind us of. Thank you for a health system that is more likely now to kill you than cure you in some cases if you are the one chosen to die. Do I sound bitter, my aunt passed away after being misdiagnosed by no more than 7 doctors who rotated and changed medication and basically tortured her to death.

Thank you Canada for the passive aggressive Canadians who hate you but smile and kill you with kindness. Thank you Canada.

The myth of freedom from oppression in the west

Every Remembrance Day, I always get a bit meloncholy, remembering the sadness of my father, an Inuk man who joined the Special Forces of the USArmy during WW2 here in what was called Frobisher Bay. To this day his war records are sealed by the DOD. What also used to strike me was my uncle, a German POW who was interned in Frobisher Bay during and shortly after the war. How he would in a drunken rage cry out how he hated to see Jews being shot in the street for no reason except that they were Jews. My father introduced my uncle to my aunt shortly after the war, so for me it is a unique time this Remembrance Day, one that is forgotten in history and not remembered by any of the armed forces, USA Canadian or even the Germans.

Although I have met USArmy Rangers who served here briefly also guarding and "re-educating" the German POWs when I went to boysout jamborees in Minnesota, and who remembered my father and they remarking that they too were not allowed to remember Frobisher Bay. I have also met former German POWs also at the jamborees and some who remembered the Inuit guards, and most of all my father for teaching them how to speak rudimentary English.

It brings to mind what my German uncle would say, that even though the USA and others say that since Hitler was defeated and the Jews saved, that it did not kill anti-semitism, neither amongst the Germans, but also amongst the Americans and Canadians. It was odd, considering that many Jewish soldiers served with distinction in the USA but were largely few in the Canadian Armed Forces.

In a way the world has learned to be politically correct, touting the same lie over and over again, yet today anti-semitism thrives, as do the new racism. The notion that white people had to save the world from Germans and that the new Order, largely white Americans, white Russians, did not really respect the ideals upon which the war was waged. Nor the peace terms.

Today you see the same type of zeal towards discriminating against another group of people, largely muslims and any other visible minorities. In Canada and the USA and the UK race crimes have risen. It is no wonder, since they have the great White Leader, George W Bush, who in his Texas state routinely practiced horrrible atrocities against ethnic minorities in the various penitentiaries, oddly in the same way Guantanimo Bay operates now with the concentration camp that houses Afghan "terrorist".

So really did Hitler really lose the war? Did the Third Reich really transfer to the west? Did the Americans, Canadians, British and Russians assume the new Great White Race ideal of the Third Reich? The war on terror certainly seems to be the grandchild of this doesn't it? Complete with racial profiling, creation of concentration camps to house "terrorist". Oddly those are the same terms the Germans used when they first started to commit genocide against the Jews.

And we wonder why are the Jews trying so hard to remember the genocide? Is it because in a way the west only paid lip service, so okay the state of Israel was created, but that was largely because the Jews were basically denied safe passage anywhere and it was a matter of necessity. Perhaps the Jews are bang on, we are the ones who are wrong. The world needs to learn the horrible lesson one more time perhaps.

Certainly the war on Terror has the capablity to switch to a world war, it has all the ingredients, a nation that discriminates and operates concentration camps, sure they are not committing mass genocide but pretty close to a more orchestrated method of selective killing of muslims. They even have borrowed a phrase from Guernica Spain, where the Germans first used the phrase "Precision Surgical Pre-emptive Strikes with limited collateral damage"......

Untold numbers of needless Iraqi and Afghani deaths

I feel sorry for those who have lost their loved ones to war. I remember my dad used to talk about his WW2 experiences, even though all he did was guard German POWs at a camp here in Frobisher Bay, which is still regarded as some sort of secret both by the Canadian and USA.

It is sad when people die for a cause that has no purpose but to provide more monopoly and big bucks to a few multinational companies. Countries that do not relish democracy in the western sense, will not fight to maintain the democratic principles. This is where the War on Terror is way off base.

Supposedly the USA and co-olition of the co-erced deaths, often young men and women who would much rather stay alive for a good purpose as to die for a war no one wants. It is interesting the parallels between the arguments that Bush makes to preserve freedom and individual rights, and those comments of the so called muslim terrorist make who also want to preserve muslim rights and freedoms.

In some parts of Iraq, the war on terror have destroyed antiquities, the same in Afghanistan, culture that is lost forever. It would be not even reasonable to preserve freedom at the expense of our history, there are better ways to gain freedom than to bomb the heck out of people.

How can you obtain freedom at the end of gun? It is a paradox that by fighting what we call terrorist, who too try to obtain their goals at the end of gun, that we are no different. The intense bombing and shelling of civilian houses in Iraq and Afghanistan to free the west of terror is no different in some ways than the terrorist blowing up buildings and trains in the west.

There is no difference between the two, both are horrible acts, crimes against humanity.

The ghosts of our youth beg to get the right story told, that is that the war on terror is really a war on the common sense of everyone. One day there will be peace and when we attain it, we will look back on this period of infringement on civil and human rights as a crime against humanity. And for what? In who's name? And for who?

George W Bush Vigilante War on Common Sense

Bush's war on terror made sense to some at the beginning. However, with the invasion of Iraq, it seemed that the purpose of Bush's "war on terror" quickly became a war on common sense. That is for the person on the street. If you are a multinational oil company and George H Bush, George W's dad happens to sit on the board, hmmm, it didn't take long to put two and two together.

However it seems that the rest of the republican party has expanded the war to include a war on minorities, a war on free thinkers, in fact it seems that the United States of America has become the new Soviet-style dictatorship. In the larger urban centers of America the FBI has posted spies in Boyscout troops, in even the small church's knitting clubs cause you never know where the "terrorist" are eh?

Companies that gave money to muslim charities all of a sudden became "potential" terrorist, and labeled as supporting "insurgents". In a way, 2001 was the year when the CIA became obsolete, and the White House started to invents its own "spies". That is basically if you get the White House Spokesman to chant the same line over and over again the world's media will eventually repeat it. On CNN it is not uncommon now to hear the word insurgency blamed for perhaps cases where muslims retaliate for the US Military illegal actions in Iraq. Shooting unarmed civilians will sometimes encourage Iraqi's to join the so called insurgents.

In a way it is sad, because now the west it seems has joined this new War on Common Sense. You are seeing the resurgence of a new Manifest Destiny if you will, the mentality that white people have to save the world from itself. What are the reprocussions of being saved?

I wonder if the war on common sense will go down in history labelled inproperly, when it should have been labeled as a bunch of Vigilante White Men out to defeat the evil minorities. George W Bush and his "coalition" of white world leaders would indeed look comfortable wearing KKK robes and burning crosses. The only difference is they get enlisted servicemen who fly billion dollar planes to drop bombs on the minorities, or get enlisted servicemen to shoot them up in the streets.

What is a real Canadian?

That is a question I would ask myself, as we used to sing God Save The Queen and then the national anthem every morning in school, of course they don't sing God Save The Queen anymore. However it seemed that when our school teacher would talk about Canadians she didn't exactly mention that Inuit were Canadians per se. Canadians paid the taxes she said that funded the school. Canadians paid the taxes that created this country. Yet my father who worked also paid taxes and when I asked her "does that mean my father is a Canadian" she just laughed.

It seems foreigners are sometimes very welcome to Canada, that is if they have the Hong Kong Bank, or millions of dollars, but if you are just a working class Taiwanese refugee, you are not so welcome.

Just what is a Canadian? Is it a white middle class person? If so then it seems Canada is disappearing a bit. When we travel the world over the world thinks Canada being a wonderful multicultural land is a shining example. However if you are an immigrant medical doctor with a Nobel Prize, you still have to start fresh in Canada because Canada doesn't recognize "alien" medical degrees. Yet a lot of the universities that doctors oversees study in use the same theories and medical practices as in Canadian universities, because all humans are the same it seems. However the Canadian governments don't recognize that. It seems the red tape kind of takes the shine of the gleam of how "Canada welcomes university trained doctors". In fact Canada has a horrible need for doctors, you would think that it would help instead of detering people who can really help and become what it means to be Canadian.

It seems that Canadians are considered to be a unique biological being, and unless you happen to be one of them, then you should "know your place". I am not saying Canadians think they are a unique race, it just seems obvious that you always here that there are two founding races in Canada. What about the native people who helped and saved the new Canadians from themselves? What about the other ethnic groups who provided the expertise so that these new Anglo and Quebecois could survive the new harsh climates? It seems they too were told to "know your place".....

Yet what place is that? I guess for the dead Oka Mohawk who should have known better than to die and be buried in a spot that the Quebecois white golfers wanted. How uncivilized of the Mohawks to die in a piece of real estate that "real" Canadians want to use to play golf on. Then we wonder why those Mohawks were so angry, and for what we wonder?

So I wonder if anyone out there has the answer, what is a "real" Canadian please let me know.
